I see your liger & raise you a tigon

Tuna's recent liger post got me thinking. If a male lion-female tiger hybrid is a Liger, would a male tiger-female lion hybrid be a Tion?

Thanks to wikipedia this insomnia inducing yet irrelevant question has an answer.

I quote
...tigon is the artificially bred hybrid of a male tiger and a female lion.
Tigons can exhibit characteristics of both parents: they can have both spots from the mother and stripes from the father. Tigons grow smaller than lions or tigers, due to the fact that they inherit growth-inhibitory genes from both parents; They appear "housecat-like".
Housecat like or not, this borneon tree dwelling great ape prefers his big cats where they are; on a continent far, far away.

What if we hybrid a male cat and a female lion? We'll get Cation?

A a male kangaroo and female wallabe? a kangabe?

I have a neighbour who called himself a Chindian. He is a hybrid of a Chinese male and an Indian female.
